Papa Kelsey’s has a storied history in Idaho. It got its start nearly 40 years ago in Twin Falls before blossoming into a subs and salad powerhouse with 10 locations here in Idaho and additional restaurants in Colorado and Arizona.
The long wait for residents in Meridian for their own Papa Kelsey’s is over. A new restaurant is opening later this year along Linder Road. Most residents are already familiar with the brand and its delicious hot submarine sandwiches and eagerly await its arrival.
Papa Kelsey’s is headquartered in Idaho Falls, which aligns with the company’s belief that its customers should also be its neighbors. When customers come in for a meal, they experience that warmth and sense of familiarity. Patrons of the new Meridian store will surely get hooked on the smell of freshly baked foods, even if they enjoy their meal on the outdoor patio. The restaurant building will be newly constructed and be part of a multi-use commercial site. The new location will also serve beer and wine, which is a change from the other Idaho locations in Buhl, Burley, Hagerman, Idaho Falls, Kimberly, Jerome, Pocatello, Rigby, Twin Falls and Wendell.
Sub sandwiches are served hot with freshly baked bread and a side of chips. The Italian combo includes ham, Italian sausage, salami, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, tomato and mayo. Other subs you can order are the turkey, BLT, ham and cheese, ham and turkey, chicken Malibu (crispy chicken), Italian meatball, roast beef and several other favorites. For salads, you can choose from nearly a dozen dressings and various styles such as taco, chef, Italian, southwest chipotle and chicken salads.
Papa Kelsey’s famous house pizza is made with fresh dough and can be ordered in personal or standard family sizes. All meat, vegetarian, cordon bleu, BBQ chicken, buffalo chicken and Papa Kelsey’s (combination) are just some of the pie options.
Don’t forget to sample the cheese garlic bread, soups, oven-baked fresh fries, hot wings and cinnamon roll dessert.
