Called the gem of the Gem State, Boise is in the heart of a state that is rapidly becoming one of the fastest-growing in the nation.
Another reason for its selection? Boise is home to one of the hottest real estate markets around. Did you know that nearly 75% of users on Redfin were looking for homes in Boise? At a population of 235,000, Boise is also one of the larger cities to make the list.
Some of Boise’s well-known events and destinations were also highlighted in the ranking’s report. The Gene Harris Jazz Festival, which bring troves of people to Boise State University each year, and Freak Alley, one of the largest outdoor galleries of mural and graffiti art, were two area favorites mentioned in Money Magazine.
Top dining establishments, like Chandlers and Goldy’s, were also worth mentioning in the annual list of America’s top cities.
