Sushi-pizza restaurant ready for second (maybe third) location in Boise

Lulu’s Pizza and Sushi has plans for a second, and possibly third, restaurant location in Boise.

Ownership recently submitted permit paperwork for a location on Apple Street in southeast Boise. A third location is possible for Eagle, the company said. Despite the pandemic, business is roaring for Lulu’s, so the restaurant is optimistic about its future growth.

For now, the Apple Street location is the priority for opening first. Lulu’s envisions outdoor seating at the new location and even its own delivery system for its New York-style pizza, Italian dishes, and sushi.

The restaurant opened several years ago as Lulu’s Fine Pizza. Now, it’s switching the name a bit and will be known as Lulu’s Fine Pizza and Sushi. The name is a truer reflection of the food served at Lulu’s.

Customers have a wide menu to choose from, including the restaurant’s specialty pizzas. For fans of spicy Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and caramelized onions, The Brute is the perfect pie selection. Other specialty pizzas are the Napa Valley Pie (includes blue cheese), the pesto-driven Pallezio, and the Lulu, made with Roma tomato sauce, goat cheese, toasted pine nuts, garlic spinach, and fresca tomatoes.

For a more adventurous pizza, you got to try the Thai-one-on or the BBQ chicken pizza. Pizza lovers can also get creative and order a customized pie.

Lulu’s sushi menu is also far-reaching, with options such as the Suckafish roll made with shrimp tempura, avocado, ahi, salmon, and yellowtail glazed with the restaurant’s special spicy mayo and sriracha. With more than two dozen sushi rolls, you’re sure to find your next favorite at Lulu’s, which also serves up poke, salads, and starters such as meatballs, artichoke dip, and a Mediterranean sampler plate.
