Meridian diners are in luck, because another eatery is headed our way and this one has already won over the hearts (and stomachs) of hungry Boise diners.
Thai Basil applied for a sign permit in the space formerly occupying Siam Thai restaurant in the Eastgate shopping center, a popular spot for Asian cuisine with two other Asian-themed restaurants already sharing the plaza.
This will be the second location for the popular restaurant, with the first location calling E Fairview Ave. home. If the menu offerings are anything like the first location’s high-quality tasty cuisine, diners are sure to be more than satisfied.
The Thai Basil owners pride themselves on offering authentic Thai food, and on only using the freshest spice and herb ingredients that are staples to Asian recipes, such as ginger, lemongrass and their namesake, basil. Their Pad Thai is perhaps the most popular menu item, and their duck-based menu items also regularly get rave reviews. According to regulars, their duck curry and honey-glazed duck shouldn’t be missed. Diners often like to finish meals with the restaurant’s homemade ice cream.
While details about the dining atmosphere at the new location are yet-to-be determined, the first location has an authentic feel and a spacious layout that makes dining there an enjoyable experience. The new spot’s aesthetic is likely to please as well.
