It’s that time of year we all love – the winter holiday season.
There truly isn’t a greater occasion than the holidays, when we can gather with our loved ones, reflect on an awesome year and of course, exchange gifts.
Here in Boise, being a part of this community is a gift we all can share. And this holiday season, our hope for you is to take part in as much holiday joy as possible! To help you, we put together a list of five events that are sure to bring you cheer.
Downtown Boise comes to life with this holiday tradition.
If you and your family are ready for a photo with Santa, this is the place to be. Photos are free and proceeds from event donations go to the Women’s and Children’s Alliance.
Come share a smile and spread holiday cheer on Dec. 1, 6, 8 and 15.
Here’s another great Boise tradition: The Holiday Parade. This festive gathering is a source of pride for all.
Marking its 70th year, “Christmas is Our Town,” is the theme. The big event will be led by the mayor of Boise!
So, come on down to 10th and Jefferson Streets, and enjoy this holiday staple with your family and friends.
The holidays are a time for family, gifts and holiday cheer. Sadly, not everyone is so lucky to enjoy all three. You can make a difference by providing an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. These gifts will go to children throughout the community.
Organizers also hope that your gifts will not only bring smiles to the faces of many children, but also send a message of hope.
Make sure you support our local farmers’ markets. Heading out to the market is a great way to gather your family and friends.
You can shop festively at the Holiday Farmers’ Markets through Dec. 22.
Together, we can spread joy and hope to our friends near and far this Christmas!
